SP-TTL Speed Sensor

SP-TTL Speed Sensor

SP-TTL Speed Sensor

Product catalog summary
Overview: The SP-TTL Speed Sensor is a magnetic speed pickup device designed to detect passing ferrous objects, such as gear teeth, to calculate shaft speed. It provides a conditioned 0-5 volt square wave output suitable for direct connection to panel meters or the Webtec C2000.
Specifications:
  • Model Number: SP-TTL
  • Output: Pulse, 0-5 V square wave
  • Frequency Range: 1 - 2000 Hertz
  • Operating Temperature: -5 to 40°C (41 to 104°F)
  • Weight: 0.25 kg (0.55 lbs)
  • Supply Voltage: 12 - 32 VDC
  • Connection Type: M12 x 1 5 pin
  • Construction Material: Steel and aluminium housing
Installation and Connection Details:
  • Optimal gear tooth shape is recommended for maximum output voltage before conditioning.
  • Conventional stock gears can be used if the tooth width is ≥ 2.3mm and space between teeth is 3.5mm.
  • For detecting bolt heads or other ferrous objects, use solid material and maintain a thin detecting head (1.5 to 2mm) for the greatest speed range.
  • Maximum velocity of the detecting head should not exceed 25 m/s.
  • Ensure no other edges are within 10mm of the sensor.
Accessories: A range of panel meters is available for different applications. Contact the sales office for assistance.
Connection Diagram: The sensor uses a 5-pin M12 connector with specific pin assignments for input, output, ground, and pulse connections.
Additional Notes: Webtec reserves the right to make improvements and changes to the specification without notice.
