The tank crew simulator is a stationary system. It consists of 3 modules that simulate the appearance and functions of the real tank compartments and the instructor station that controls the training process. The computer generated visual system produces realistic, high resolution, full-colour environment visible through the gunner's sight, including different terrain types and weather conditions (fog, visibility, seasons). The simulator includes 3 various terrains for exercises (each of approximately 25 km2) in summer and winter scenario with possibility to its further development and adaptation to the user's needs. There are approx. 100 standard exercises programmed on the simulator, comprising wide variety of tactical situations. The system enables unlimited creation and modification of the existing exercises. The visual system generates various type of stationary and moving targets including combat vehicles, tanks and helicopters. Sound effects accompanying the operating of actual tank mechanisms and battlefield noise effects are realistically simulated. The inter communication system provides voice communication between the instructor and tank crew. The instructor monitors crew performance and interacts with the crew during exercises. He observes the view seen by the crew through the sights. The map of terrain is also displayed at the instructor station showing own tank position and location of targets. Trainees actions are recorded and analysed depending on exercise parameters assigning by the instructor. "After Action Review" function allows the instructor to review the recently conducted exercise. Results of each exercise are stored and evaluated. It allows to follow crews performance during selected period of time. Any number of crews can be inserted into the database. Exercise parameters: • weather conditions (wind direction and velocity, atmospheric pressure, terrain lighting - daylight, twilight or darkness,...
