Power Supply Specifications: The unit provides 510W during initial engagement and up to 800W for 30 seconds during engine cranking, with voltage ranging from 16-18V. It includes protections like Input Over Voltage Protection (IOVP), Output Over Voltage Protection (OOVP), Overcurrent Protection (OCP), and Overtemperature Protection (OTP).
Fault Operation: Nonrecoverable fault thresholds trigger shutdowns or restarts. IOVP causes shutdown when input voltage is outside the operational range. OOVP and OCP result in shutdowns with automatic restarts every second until faults clear. OTP activates at 95°C, with recovery at 75°C.
Parallel and Standalone Operation: A single kelvin connection is required for load regulation in parallel operation. Standalone operation is possible via I2C, with mode switching up to 100,000 times due to memory wear limitations.
Conducted Emissions Testing: Compliance with CE102 standards is illustrated in figures, with successful MIL-STD and RTCA/DO-160G tests ensuring robust performance under various conditions.
Standards Compliance: The power supply complies with standards like MIL-STD-461F/G, MIL-STD-704F, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-1275E, RTCA/DO-160G, IEC 61000-4-2, and VITA 47, covering emissions, voltage transients, vibration, shock, ESD, and environmental resistance.
I2C Sensor Commands: Supports SMBus-compatible I2C commands for sensor data reading, with examples of communication sequences and checksum calculations.
Specifications: Commands are recognized by the power supply, with the most-significant bit of each byte transmitted first. Command 0x21 provides sensor data, including PCBA temperature, voltage sense, and output current measurements. Command 0x99 and 0x91 provide output and input current data in mA. Command 0x92 provides PCBA card edge temperatures.
Status Register: The status register (command 0x55) allows monitoring of power supply conditions, including battle override mode, which prevents shutdown during non-recoverable events.
IPMI Interface: Complies with VITA 46.11, VITA 62-2016, and IPMI v2.0 specifications. Sensor data is calculated using constants and equations to convert raw sensor readings into real-world values.
Sensor Thresholds: Upper and lower limits for sensors are defined, with critical and non-recoverable thresholds triggering system events. Exceeding non-recoverable limits causes a shutdown of all outputs except the 3.3V internal supply.
Power Architecture: Includes EMI filter, reverse voltage blocking, and isolated outputs for +3.3V and +12V. Internal power configuration is detailed for VITA 3U P0 connector inputs.
Mechanical Drawing: Dimensions and connector components are specified, with details on guide sockets and connector plugs.
Revision History: Version 1.1 includes corrections to connector pin descriptions, added configuration options, and revised command contents and scaling.

SOS028x3U800yzzz Signal Pin Functions ENABLE* & INHIBIT* Enable and Inhibit pins express active low logic. Table 1 has the truth table for the output state of the power supply. It is necessary to avoid the indeterminate output state where 0.8 – 2.0V is applied to the ENABLE* or INHIBIT* pins. A digital debounce filter is present on the signals of both pins to prevent false transitions. The ENABLE* and INHIBIT* also have a minimum delay between successive output enable transitions to prevent repeated starts into high capacitance loads. See detailed specifications for delays time limits. ENABLE*...

SOS028x3U800yzzz Card Edge Temperature Sensors Fault Operation The PCBA card edge temperature sensor internal to the power supply is mounted on the edge of the PCBA card edge. Consequently, the temperature sensor measures a temperature that is generally higher than the heat-sink-to-rail mounting interface and lower than the hot spot of the internal converters in the power supply. See Table 5 for nonrecoverable fault thresholds which trigger a fault and shut down/restart of the outputs of the supply. Response from the power supply to I2C command 0x21 provides the temperature measured by the internal...
