Engine Specifications
The sweeper is equipped with a John Deere 4045 turbo, 4-cylinder engine, compliant with Final Tier 4 standards. It has a displacement of 275 in3 (4.5 L) and delivers 99 HP at 2200 RPM with a net torque of 315 lb-ft at 1600 RPM. The engine features a heavy-duty air cleaner with a pre-cleaner and scavenge vacuum hose, a remote spin-on full-flow oil filter, and shares its fuel tank with the chassis engine. The DEF tank has a volumetric capacity of 5.4 gallons and a usable capacity of 3.8 gallons. The engine protection system includes a fuel/water separator, a separate fuel filter, and an open crankcase ventilation filter.
Blower Specifications
The blower is an aluminum alloy, high-volume, open-face turbine designed to create blast and suction. It features two sealed lifetime lube, anti-friction bearings, a bolt-on housing with an abrasion-resistant, replaceable liner, and a heavy-duty power band drive.
Dust Separator
The high-capacity dust separator is cyclonic with multipass centrifugal separation, measuring 20 x 61 inches. It is located adjacent to the blower within the hopper and includes a hinged inspection door. The housing is abrasion-resistant with a replaceable wear-resistant liner.
Hopper Specifications
The hopper has a volumetric capacity of 7.3 yd3 and a usable capacity of 6 yd3. It is constructed from welded steel plate with integral stiffeners and features a floor angle of 22°. The dump door opening measures 84 x 44 inches, and the dumping method is hydraulic with a raker bar, with a dumping height of 36 inches.
Pick-Up Head
The patented HSP pick-up head is dual-chambered, delivering air blast and suction. It has an inside width of 87 inches and a pick-up head area of 2784 in2. The suspension includes four springs and two drag links, with DUO SKID® long-life carbide skids. The suction hose diameter is 14 inches, and the pressure hose diameter is 10 inches, with an integral pressure bleeder for leaf/light material pickup.
Gutter Broom
The dual patented gutter broom includes floodlights and parabolic mirrors. It is driven by a constant speed, non-reversible hydraulic motor, with adjustable down pressure, pattern, and wear. The broom is 43 inches in diameter, made of steel wire, and features a vertical digger design.
Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system operates the gutter broom(s), dump, and pick-up head, driven by a gear from the auxiliary engine. It has a capacity of 8 GPM, with a 25-gallon reservoir featuring an 80 mesh suction strainer, sight/temperature gauge, and cooler. The filter is 3 micron in-line, with a temperature shutdown system.
Dust Control System
The system includes water spray nozzles for dust suppression, with an electric diaphragm, air diaphragm, or belt-driven pump. The reservoirs are polyethylene with a total minimum capacity of 220 gallons. It features an 80 mesh in-line filter and a low water shut-off with a warning light in the cab.
Controls
Inside the cab, controls include the pick-up head, gutter broom(s), ignition, tachometer, voltmeter, low water warning system, safety lights, hour meter, pressure bleeder, and auxiliary fuse panel. The BlueLogic® Display provides feedback on the sweeper and auxiliary engine status, including safety equipment and service hours. The BlueLogic® Control System offers intelligent safety features and assists in troubleshooting with onboard diagnostics.
Safety Warning Devices
Safety features include alternating LED rear flashers, a back-up alarm, and an SAE Class 1/California Title 13 amber beacon light with a limb guard.
Optional Equipment
Optional equipment includes a variety of enhancements such as an AOD water pump, abrasion protection package, auxiliary hand hose, camera/monitor system, and stainless steel options for various components.
Chassis Available
The sweeper is compatible with International 4300-DT, International 4300 - Cummins ISB, and Freightliner M2-106 chassis models.
