Product catalog summary
Introduction
The TraffiSafe 3 colour coding system is designed to ensure that workers wear the appropriate level of glove protection based on the task's cut risk. The system uses three colors: RED, AMBER, and GREEN, each indicating a different level of cut resistance according to the EN 388 test.

Specifications
  • RED Gloves: Level 1 cut resistance, suitable for low cut risk tasks such as general handling, warehouse work, and low-risk construction jobs. The RED color serves as a warning to assess if more protection is needed.
  • AMBER Gloves: Medium cut resistance, ideal for tasks like second fix construction, mechanical and electrical trades, and handling materials with sharp edges. These gloves come with various coatings for different needs.
  • GREEN Gloves: Highest cut resistance, suitable for high-risk tasks such as handling sheet metal, glass, and unknown risks in waste and recycling industries. The GREEN color indicates it is safe to proceed with high-risk tasks.

Recommendations
TraffiSafe's color coding allows for quick visual confirmation of appropriate glove use. Supervisors can easily identify if workers are using the correct gloves for their tasks, ensuring safety compliance and reducing the risk of accidents.

MAKING SURE YOU USE THE RIGHT GLOVE The TraffiSafe 3 colour coding system is an innovative, proven and easy way to ensure your workforce is wearing an appropriate level of protection for the task in hand. The colour coding (RED, AMBER and GREEN) relates to the glove's performance on the EN 388 test for cut resistance. The RED gloves have a level 1 score, so they are only suitable for lower cut risk tasks. The RED colour itself is a warning to the wearers to be sure they are always wearing sufficient protection, as many accidents occur simply because someone did not think about - or understand - the risk involved in a particular task. The GREEN gloves have a top score of 5, making them the right choice for higher cut risk tasks such as handling sheet metal. The colour GREEN provides the internationally-recognised confirmation that it is ‘Safe to go’ when there is a higher risk of cuts. Our RED gloves are ideal for tasks that involve a low cut risk, such as general product handling, warehouse and assembly line work and some low risk construction jobs. These Cut Level 1 gloves provide adequate protection for a wide range of tasks while the RED colour serves as a warning, reminding the wearer to consider whether further protection is required when switching to a different task. The RED gloves are also a good choice for supplying to visitors who may need to wear gloves on site to comply with safety regulations. Our AMBER gloves offer a medium level of cut protection, which makes them the ideal choice for second fix construction trades, mechanical and electrical trades, steel fixing and handling materials with sharp edges. The AMBER gloves are finished with a variety of coatings to give you plenty of choice within the range

Our GREEN gloves provide the highest level of cut protection, so they are the best choice for higher cut risk tasks such as applying cladding, swarf and metal work and handling glass or sheet metal with cut edges. They also provide the higher protection necessary when dealing with unknown risks, for example, in the waste and recycling industries. Thanks to TraffiSafe you can see at a glance - and from a distance - if your employees or colleagues are suitably protected. If you see someone wearing RED gloves while sweeping up broken glass, for example, you can immediately alert them to the risk...
