Product catalog summary
Introduction
The STRIKE 2 harness is designed for experienced paragliding pilots, emphasizing lightness and performance. It meets European and German safety standards (EN 1651: 2018 and LTF Nfl II 91/09). The manual stresses the importance of adjusting the harness before the first flight and warns against using shoes with hooks that could damage the speedbag.
Technical Specifications
The harness is available in sizes S, M, L, and XL, with specific dimensions and weight limits. It features a hammock architecture and a "lying flat" flying position, includes impact damping systems like FOAM BUMP or inflatable protection, and is designed exclusively for paragliding.
Size Choice
A height/weight table assists in selecting the correct harness size. It is recommended to try the harness under a hanging device at a retailer to ensure the correct fit.
Nomenclature and Harness Overview
The manual lists components and accessories such as carabiners, speedbar, and reserve parachute handle. It provides an overview of features including adjustment straps, storage pockets, and hooking points.
Accessories Assembly
Instructions are provided for assembling accessories like the removable comfort plate, seat plate, bumpair, inflatable protection, and speed-bar system. The manual highlights ensuring the speedbar is not set too short to avoid danger.
Installing the Reserve Parachute
The initial assembly and installation of the reserve parachute should be done by a qualified professional. Detailed steps are provided for connecting the parachute handle to the POD, attaching risers, and installing the parachute in its container.
Adjustments
Proper adjustment of the harness before each takeoff is crucial. The manual describes adjusting the chest strap, shoulder straps, backrest, and lumbar support for comfort and safety.
Maintenance and Safety
Guidelines for harness cleaning, maintenance, storage, and transport are included. Regular checks and maintenance are emphasized to ensure product longevity and safety.
Warranty and Disclaimer
The document outlines warranty terms and includes a disclaimer regarding the use of the harness. Information on the pilot's gear and shock absorber is also provided.
Conclusion
The manual concludes with a service book section and encourages pilots to conduct regular checks and tests to ensure the harness's proper functioning.
Adjusting the Harness
Adjustments involve setting the backrest incline, chest strap, and shoulder straps. The chest strap should be adjusted according to the wing manufacturer's recommendations, balancing stability and piloting efficiency.
Speedbag Adjustments
Ensure legs are stretched and adjust heel and toe straps for comfort. Attachment points can be moved if adjustments are too long or short.
Connecting the Wing to the Harness
Instructions are provided for installing the accelerator and connecting it to the wing using split hooks. Ensure risers are properly positioned and carabiners are locked.
Installation in the Harness
Thread harness straps through shoulders, secure chest strap, and ensure all buckles and zippers are closed. Follow color coding for correct fastening.
Flight Behavior
The STRIKE 2 harness offers stability and intuitive piloting, suitable for hike and fly and cross-country flying. In turbulence, it can be flown seated for comfort and control.
Flight Phases
Pre-flight checks include ensuring harness and carabiners are undamaged, reserve parachute safety is intact, and all connections are secure. During takeoff, maintain a vertical posture and use the speedbar cautiously.
Using the Reserve Parachute
In emergencies, deploy the parachute by pulling the handle and throwing it away from you. Prepare for landing by adopting an upright position.
Towing
Use a quick release for towing and connect the tow bridle securely. Follow safety recommendations from a competent towing outfit.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the harness with mild agents and lubricate zippers with silicon spray. Regularly check carabiners and buckles, especially in dusty or marine environments. Store the harness in a dry, cool place.
Materials and Warranty
The harness is made from durable materials like Skytex and Dyneema. SUPAIR offers a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Regular inspections are recommended to ensure safety.
Shock Absorber
The harness includes a BUMPAIR shock absorber for impact protection, compliant with EU regulations. It should be inspected and maintained like the harness itself.
Installation and Pre-Flight Check
Ensure the BUMPAIR shock absorber is correctly installed and inspect the seams and overall condition of the fabric for any damage. The protection has a lifespan of five years under normal conditions but should be discarded after a major hard landing.

Harness User’s manual | STRIKE 2 ACCESSORIES ASSEMBLY Seat plate The STRIKE 2 harness can be used with or without a seat plate. Flying with the seat plate gives a stiffer seat and cleaner load transfers. The harness therefore gives more information and is more precise. The seat plate also contributes to a more comfortable seat, without lateral compression. Flying without the seat plate makes the seat flexible and slightly raises the attachment points. The harness is therefore more neutral and more stable. Note that in the event of leaving the wing’s flight domain, command precision must compensate...
