Product catalog summary
Introduction
The FLUID reserve parachute is engineered for enhanced safety, offering faster opening, increased stability, and a reduced sink rate compared to traditional models. It complies with EN 12491 and LTF 91/09 standards, ensuring adherence to European and German safety regulations. A harness hang-test is recommended before the initial flight.

Technical Specifications
The parachute is available in three sizes (S, M, L) with maximum hooking weights of 85 kg, 100 kg, and 125 kg, respectively. All sizes feature an opening time of 2.5 seconds and differ in weight, surface area, and volume.

Equipment Overview
Key components include split risers, Maillons Rapides®, a single reserve parachute bridle loop, and flexible toric rings, all essential for proper deployment and functionality.

EN 12491 Norm
This section details the European Norm requirements for paragliding reserve parachutes, focusing on stability, opening speed, and structural integrity. The parachute must open in under 5 seconds and maintain a sink rate below 5.5 m/s at maximum load.

Usage Guidelines
Reserve parachutes are intended for emergency use only. The pilot's weight must align with the manufacturer's load limits. Proper deployment involves locating the handle, pulling it out, and discarding the pod away from the paraglider. Post-deployment, the paraglider should be disabled to stabilize descent.

Connection to Harness
Instructions are provided for connecting the parachute to the harness using "Y" risers or separate STD risers, ensuring correct functionality during emergencies.

Packing and Maintenance
Packing requires a systematic folding procedure. The parachute should be aerated for 12 hours before packing, and all components should be checked for damage. Repacking every six months is advised to ensure quick opening and structural integrity.

Warranty and Disclaimer
The manual includes warranty details and a disclaimer stressing the importance of adhering to guidelines for safety and functionality.

Packing Instructions
1. Folding the Panels: Flatten the first red corner panel in a W-shape, lay out subsequent panels flat, and manage excess fabric by tucking it inside.
2. Dividing the Parachute: Open symmetrically into two halves, ensuring even panel distribution.
3. Folding the Parachute: Fold each side in a snail shell-like shape, then fold one half over the other to form a long layer matching the POD's width. Secure with clips or sandbags.
4. Installing in the POD: Place the POD over the parachute, flip it upside down, coil the lines, and secure the flaps with a 5cm line loop.

Measurement Tables
Provides detailed line measurements for sizes S, M, and L, including cut and sewn lengths, line materials, and extra length specifications.

Maintenance and Longevity
Store in a dry, cool, UV-free environment. Avoid chemicals and dry immediately if wet. Repack every six months and inspect regularly for a lifespan of up to ten years.

Recycling and Repairs
Materials are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Repairs should be conducted by a certified facility.

Warranty and Disclaimer
SUP’AIR offers a two-year warranty against defects under normal use. The product is exclusively for paragliding, and misuse voids the warranty. Certified training and insurance are required for paragliding.

Service Book
Includes sections for recording maintenance and resale information.

FLUID reserve parachute’s manual FLUID Guideline procedures to follow with our reserve parachutes:: To begin with, we must stress that using a reserve parachute should never be taken for granted or considered to be without risks to the pilot. A reserve parachute is only there to deploy in case of an emergency situation. The pilot’s weight must conform to the parachute manufacturer’s recommended load limitations to be fully operational. Any intent to use a reserve parachute below or above the manufacturer’s recommended weight limitations is dangerous and must totally be avoided. - Any reserve...
