
L97 is a heat-treatable aluminium alloy known for its high strength, high fatigue strength, and excellent machining characteristics. It is primarily used in the aerospace industry for high strength fabrication or machined parts. The alloy is slightly stronger than 2014(A), 2017A, and 2030, with T351 being the most common temper.
