SMAC BARRIER® is a newly developed material by SMAC aimed at enhancing noise reduction solutions in aircraft. It is designed to minimize sound transmission and meets stringent flammability standards, including the Bunsen Test FAR25-853a and radiant panel flammability tests FAR 25-856a, ensuring no flame propagation.
- Applications: Used as a noise barrier in aircraft trim panels, flooring, and ceiling panels.
- Material Properties: Blue color, density of 1600 kg/m³, hardness of 69 Shore A, operational temperature range from -60°C to +200°C, tensile strength of 7.9 MPa, and elongation at break of 572%.
