With long range target detection and recognition capabilities, the 550CZ-18 combines high-end performance with G5-IR reliability and ease of use. The 550CZ-18 is designed for long range detection with its continuous zoom lens that produces an 18° horizontal field of view (HFOV) at wide angle and a 1° HFOV at narrow angle. In good conditions, the camera system will reliably detect humans at 18 kilometers. The 550CZ-18 utilizes a long life cooler to ensure reliable imagery over the life of the camera system. G5-IR stands by this product with an industry leading 25 month warranty. The cooled 640 x 512, 15µm InSb detector is optimized for spectral response in the mid-wave infrared spectrum, commonly considered the best technology for imaging in marine and high humidity environments. The 550CZ-18 delivers in all conditions with its dry nitrogen backfilled enclosure that is rated IP67. The camera system produces analog or digital video and is controlled remotely via serial commands.
