A coffee capsule manufacturer called on the expertise of SOLEX Metrology to design a machine capable of continuously measuring twelve dimensional control points are applied to each capsule, with an accuracy of 10 gm (including various heights, thicknesses and diameters). Our specially developed software processes to the measurement of ranges, records the measurement results of 100-capsule stacks and identifies with statistical analysis the capsules out of tolerance before access to the assembly area. TRACER SENSORS Tracer sensors can control a contactless scrolling piece while absorbing thickness differences. SOLEX Metrology tracer sensors can be equipped with standard sensors. A pharmaceutical industry sub-contractor has called on SOLEX Metrology know-how to design a machine to measure continuously - contactlessly, on a production line - thethickness of an elastomer band. Eight tracer sensors are spread across three band areas. The side areas, more likely to be non-compliant, are each monitored by three sensors, whilst the central area is checked by two sensors.
