FACT SHEET HME 46-II and HMD 46-II Series ATC Headsets Trusted sound, next generation comfort and durability The HME 46-II and HMD 46-II Series of very lightweight, extremely comfortable headsets are designed specifically for all air traffic control communication and C3 (Command, Control & Communications) applications. Based on the tried and tested 46 Series, the headsets no longer have to conform to the requirements of aircraft cockpit grade headband caliper pressure. This means the Mk II headsets have a more comfortable, lower caliper pressure. A flip-away noise cancelling microphone delivers prefect speech transmission by filtering out ambient noise to ensure effective communication. In terms of comfort, the series’ patented two-piece headband and soft ear pads give a personalized fit that reduces wearing fatigue. A wide choice of wearing styles, microphone variants and comfort accessories, cater for all user preferences. Sennheiser ActiveGard® technology protects users’ hearing against acoustic injury caused by a sudden sound burst on the line, with no risk of communication drop-out.
