Product catalog summary
Introduction
Alleima® 6RA11 is an austenitic stainless free-machining steel with added sulphur, conforming to standards such as ASTM 303, UNS S30300, EN Number 1.4305, and W.Nr. 1.4305. It is produced under product standards EN 10088-3 and ASTM A-314, with certification status according to EN 10 204 3.1.
Chemical Composition
The nominal chemical composition includes 0.05% Carbon, 0.4% Silicon, 1.8% Manganese, ≤0.045% Phosphorus, 0.3% Sulphur, 18% Chromium, and 9% Nickel.
Forms of Supply
Alleima® 6RA11 is available in round-cornered square and round billets, with various sizes and tolerances. Surface conditions for square billets include unground, spot ground, or fully ground, while round billets can be peel turned or in black condition.
Sizes and Tolerances
Square billets range from 80 mm to over 200 mm with tolerances from +/-2 mm to +/-5 mm, and lengths from 3 to 6.3 meters. Peel turned round billets range from 75 mm to 450 mm with tolerances from +/-1 mm to +/-3 mm, and lengths up to 10 meters. Unground round billets have specific size intervals with a tolerance of +/-2 mm.
Mechanical Properties
Testing is conducted on solution annealed and quenched test pieces. At 20°C (68°F), the material exhibits a proof strength of ≥205 MPa (≥29.5 ksi), tensile strength of 515-690 MPa (74.5-100 ksi), elongation of ≥35%, and hardness of approximately 170 HB.
