Pallet Master System at Air France - Lyon
SACO introduces a flexible cargo handling system at Air France's Cargo Terminal in Lyon. The Pallet Master allows slave pallets to dock with fixed conveyor systems at a standard dolly height, facilitating the transfer of ULDs up to 6800 kg. This system enables building or breaking 10ft ULDs anywhere in the warehouse, not just at fixed workstations. Multiple slave pallets can create temporary conveyor systems, and they can be stacked away when not in use. Available versions include 'Pedestrian', 'Ride-on', and 'Mobile truck dock'.
ETV System for Airports Authority of India
SACO shipped a complete cargo handling and storage system to Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. The system includes an ETV with semi-automatic controls, 70 storage decks, multiple workstations for ULDs, turntables, powered roller decks, and a PLC control system. Commissioning is planned for October 2007.
Worldwide Flight Services at Schiphol Airport
WFS, a new player in the Amsterdam cargo community, installed a SACO cargo handling system in the new 'Freight-9' building. The system includes a 20ft truck dock and powered roller decks, with future expansion capabilities.
Inter Airport Exhibition, Munich
SACO will exhibit at the Netherlands Pavilion during the Inter Airport Exhibition in Munich from October 9-12. Representatives Hans van Schaik and Marcel Berkers will be present to discuss developments and assist with plans.
TNT Express Worldwide at Liége Airport

GHI 2007 Conference, Marrakech

Let your system evolve through phases With this summer 2007 edition of our newsletter, we at SACO would like to give you an update of our air cargo handling activities as well as of the events where we shall be present. PALLET MASTER ETV system for Airports Authority of India, SACO’s flexible cargo handling system introduced at Air France - Lyon Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata Following the signing of the turn-key contract with AAI in March 2007, SACO shipped the complete system to India in July 2007. During the same period, civil works for the foundations and pits were carried out on site and steel constructions were manufactured and assembled locally. This cargo handling and storage system for the export area of the integrated cargo complex in Kolkata includes: • • • • Our safe and cost effective system for flexible handling of air cargo on slave pallets will be put into use at Air France’s Cargo Terminal at Lyon SaintExupéry. By using the purpose designed Pallet Master, slave pallets can be docked with fixed conveyor systems at standard 508 mm / 20 inch dolly height for transfer of ULD’s loaded up to 6800 kg. 10ft ULD’s can be built or broken at any place in the warehouse and no longer limited to fixed workstations. By using multiple slave pallets, a temporary conveyor system can be set up in virtually any configuration. When not in use, the slave pallets can simply be stacked away to save valuable warehouse floor space. Various basic versions of the Pallet Master are available: One ETV (3-level 10ft) with semi-automatic controls 70 friction powered storage decks 4 lowering workstations for 10ft ULD’s 2 lowering workstations for 20ft ULD’s with split operation (2x 10ft) facility • 2 turntables and powered roller decks with weighing systems for connection to the ETV • 2 tracks of powered roller decks with airside interface • Overall PLC control system Commissioning is planned for October 2007. • “Pedestrian” for walking operator • “Ride-on” for riding operator with seat and power steering • “Mobile truck dock” with
