EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER MODIFICATION FOR SAAB 340 406-1 MHz Emergency Locator Transmitter modification for Saab 340 Artex ELT C406-1 provide increased safety and security for operators of aircraft and their families. If an emergency landing crash occurs, it will transmit signals on three emergency frequencies: 121.5, 243.0 and 406 MHz. The Artex ELT C406-1 is a single output ELT that utilize the same RF output connector requiring one cable connection to Artex single input antennas. It also transmits a 406 MHz encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system, which allows for rapid identification and reduces Search and Rescue response time.
