Overview
Durostone® Glastic® FHT and SG-200 are high-temperature laminates designed for applications requiring excellent dielectric strength and heat resistance. These fibre-reinforced plastics are asbestos-free and easily fabricated, making them suitable for various industrial uses, particularly in dry-type transformers.
Durostone® Glastic® FHT- Features: Highly flexible, excellent dielectric strength, high heat resistance.
- Applications: Ideal for dry-type transformers, layer and core insulation.
- Specifications: Available in 0.8 mm and 1.6 mm thicknesses with UL® temperature indices of 190°C and 200°C for both electrical and mechanical properties.
- Benefits: Cost-effective alternative to aramid paper in 220°C insulation systems.
Durostone® Glastic® SG-200- Features: Extremely strong, excellent retention of properties at elevated temperatures.
- Applications: Suitable for high-temperature NEMA GPO-1 products, replacement for epoxy-bonded mica in layer insulation.
- Specifications: Available in thicknesses from 0.8 mm to 31.8 mm, with a UL Temperature Index of 210°C for both electrical and mechanical properties.
- Benefits: Superior mechanical strengths compared to FHT.
Technical Properties- Mechanical: Tensile strength, flexural strength, compressive strength, and impact strength are provided with specific ASTM standards.
- Electrical: Electrical strength in air and oil, arc resistance, and insulation resistance are detailed.
- Flame Resistance: UL94 HB rating, UL Hot Wire Ignition, and High Amp Ignition values are specified.
- Thermal: Coefficient of thermal expansion and thermal conductivity are included.
