Check-in Conveyors-1

Check-in Conveyors Robson weigh, label and despatch conveyors can be configured in to one, two or three stage check-in arrangements. One stage Bags are weighed/labelled and despatched on a single long weigh conveyor. Usually the weighing and labelling operations are carried out on a single conveyor, and bags despatched onto the collector from the second. Three stage Separate conveyors are used for the weighing, labelling and despatch of the bags for maximum flexibility. For ease of maintenance the weigh conveyor is mounted on castors, which run in a track fixed to the top of the weigh scale. The castors enable swift replacement of the conveyor with standby units. The conveyor is easily transported to the maintenance department. The conveyor is retained in its operating position by location devices and shoot bolts. Access to the shoot bolts/power and control sockets is via a hinged plate mounted on the front of the weigh conveyor. The conveyor and casing is constructed from a 3 pressing slider bed, manufactured using 2.0mm thick satin finish stainless steel plate x 240 grit finish as specified. The belt is a diamond pattern conveyor belts, vulcanised endless, will run around terminal pulleys comprising of a tail pulley with integral roller bearings running on a dead shaft and motorised drum running in mounting blocks. The conveyor tension pulley comprises a steel drum fitted with integral bearings, running on a dead shaft. The motorised drum and tail pulley are short faced complete with static shrouds. All bearings are grease lubricated, self-aligning, single row, ‘Y’ - type, anti-friction and sealed. Bearing selection is based on 50,000 hours under the duty load operating condition, which is factored to give a 20 kilogram per metre real life conveyor loading. Belt tension adjustment is achieved using a screw tension gear. Conveyor belts are constructed from a 2 ply polyester monofilament fibre with the lower ply of spun fabric designed to reduce operating noise. Horizontal conveyors will be fitted with smooth top and inclined/declined conveyors will be fitted with grip face conveyor belting. The conveyor belting is flame retardant in accordance with ISO 340. All conveyors are supplied with conveyor belts suitable for factory or site vulcanising. The conveyors are designed with safety at the forefront, all conveyors are risk assessed and all nip points are fitted with painted punched mild steel, or mild steel plate guards. Geo. Robson & Co.
