RMS Fatigue Test System IP60 for railway wheel sets Wheels and wheel sets of freight and passenger trains are exposed to high dynamic loads. By the weight affecting the wheel bearing, a rotating bending load of the wheel set axle arises during operation. All other connected components in the wheel are highly stressed as well by this load. Using an unbalance exciter, a rotating load on the upper end of the wheel set axle will be generated. Via the length of wheel set axle, this rotating load generates a rotating bending moment of up to 80 kNm. Testing frequency may be influenced by exchangeable...
