MS27649 AW-AK Series
The AW-AK Series Radial, Stainless Steel Airframe Control Ball Bearings are designed according to MS27649 and SAE-AS7949 standards. These bearings are single row, deep groove ball bearings made from CRES 440C stainless steel, which are not cadmium plated. They feature PTFE seals and CRES sealcaps and are prelubricated for life.
Design Features
- The bores and outside diameters match those of the KP-A Series, but the rings are wider to accommodate retainers and seals.
- Increased bracket clearance is provided by greater offsets between inner and outer ring faces.
Ordering Instructions
To order, specify the bearing number and factory specification as shown in Table 1 on page 8 (e.g., AW3AK FS464).

- Bore and outside diameter tolerances are specified as +0.0000, -0.0005 inches (+0.000, -0.013 mm).
- Width tolerances are +0.0000, -0.0025 inches (+0.000, -0.064 mm).
- Thrust and radial limit load ratings are provided for each bearing size.
Availability
Some sizes, such as AW10AK, AW12AK, AW16AK, and AW20AK, are not currently in production and will be manufactured as demand justifies tooling. Availability should be checked before ordering.
