Materials
The connectors are made from materials such as aluminum alloy, copper alloy, thermosetting resin, and fluorinated silicon rubber, with various finishes for corrosion resistance.

Ordering Information
  • Shells: Available in three sizes, each accommodating different numbers of inserts. Shells are machined from aluminum alloy with cadmium yellow chromate plating.
  • Inserts: Made from thermosetting resin, high-grade thermoplastic, or aluminum alloy, with options for environmental sealing.
  • Connectors: Assembled connectors can be ordered with specific configurations, including shell size, type, and contact arrangement.

Insert Combination Codes
Various codes are provided for different shell sizes and insert combinations, detailing the specific configurations available.

Dimensions
Detailed dimensions are provided for different shell sizes and configurations, ensuring compatibility with specific applications.

Conclusion
The MPX series connectors are designed for high performance in challenging environments, offering flexibility in configuration and robust technical specifications to meet industry standards.

Specifications
The document lists various insert layouts for receptacle shells, designed for front release and front removable contacts, specifically size 22 pc tail contacts. Contact sizes include signal contacts (size 22) and power contacts (sizes 20, 16, and 12), as well as coaxial and quadrax contacts for shielded twisted pairs. Contacts are available in crimp and pc tail termination styles, with specific tools required for installation and removal.

Procedures
Installation and removal of contacts use normalized MILI81969 tooling, ensuring low insertion and extraction force. Crimping tools and settings are specified for different contact sizes, with detailed stripping lengths and wire specifications provided.

Standards and Norms
Contacts conform to standards such as M39029/94 & M39029/93 or EN3155/026 & EN3155/027. Polarization codes are detailed, showing the position of keys and posts for various configurations.

Recommendations
For specific applications, the document recommends using the DANIELS WA27-309-EP air pressure tool with a crimp setting of 5, which must be factory set. Users are advised to refer to specific pages for additional details on triax contact grounding and dimensions for pc tail contacts.

Key Data from Tables
Tables provide comprehensive data on contact arrangements, including pin and socket part numbers, crimping tools, and stripping lengths. Polarization codes are presented with corresponding key and post positions for both receptacle and plug shells.
