G.M.E. crane has been designed by OMAR TECHNOLOGY in cooperation with AGUSTA WESTLAND SERVICE ENGINEERING to meet requirements of helicopters and aircraft service personnel, in particular when they have to operate in emergency conditions and out of their usual service area without traditional lifting equipment. OMAR TECHNOLOGY has developed a versatile equipment of reduced dimensions that allows for attaching and removing components from aircrafts. G.M.E. crane consists of light alloy extruded sections, is EC certified and passed safety tests by the Italian authority (I.S.P.E.S.L.) in compliance with valid European safety standards. It does not require any special maintenance; it can be operated on any ground provided that it is solid and even. It does not require qualified personnel to be operated. Several G.M.E. cranes have been delivered to the Italian Light Aviation. AGUSTA WESTLAND has been using it for a long time.
