The LHI LED Inset Heliports Light is designed with robust electronics that are highly resistant to shock and vibration. It features an omnidirectional 8-inch diameter with a drop-forged dome and cast aluminum lower cover, making it both sturdy and lightweight. The light output remains unaffected by heavy rainfall due to the flat surface of the dome. An O-Ring is placed outside the dome to prevent dirt accumulation between the light and base. The protection degree is IP67, and it operates within a temperature range of -55°C to +55°C.
The light is suitable for 8-inch diameter bases and includes an adaptor ring for installation on 12-inch diameter bases. Specific tools are available to facilitate easy and precise installation.
The product complies with ICAO Annex 14 - Volume II, IEC TS 61827, and NATO STANAG 3619 standards.
It is designed for use on ICAO helipad surfaces.
The LED has a rated life of 60,000 hours at full intensity, extending to over 100,000 hours under field conditions. It features a 6.35 mm protrusion and emits color directly from LEDs, eliminating energy losses and color shifts. The design allows for longer maintenance intervals and fewer spare parts. The lens is fixed without sealant, thanks to a customized gasket, making replacement quick and easy. No optical adjustment is needed after LED module or lens replacement. A valve is included for watertightness testing after overhaul.
Power consumption varies by circuit type: 20 VA for series circuit (white), 12 VA for series circuit (green, yellow), 42 VA for parallel circuit (white), and 21 VA for parallel circuit (green, yellow).
