Self Aligning Ball Bearings are double row bearings with a spherical outer ring raceway. The bearings therefore facilitate angle adjustment and are suitable for compensating for angular misalignment. Self Aligning Ball Bearings are manufactured with cylindrical and tapered bores. The bearings with tapered bore are predominantly fitted to shafts with adapter sleeves.
