Product catalog summary
Overview: The Ultrasonic Anemometer 3D is designed to measure wind direction and velocity in three dimensions. It is maintenance-free, wearless, and equipped with heating for winter operations under extreme conditions. Calculations are performed by a high-capacity digital-signal-processor (DSP) with 32-bit accuracy.
Specifications:
  • Wind Speed: Measuring range from 0 to 85 m/s with a resolution of 0.1 m/s (standard) or 0.01 m/s (user-defined). Accuracy varies from ±(0.1 m/s +1 %) rms for 0 to 35 m/s, ±2 % rms for 35 to 65 m/s, and ±3 % rms for 65 to 85 m/s.
  • Wind Direction: Measuring range from 0 to 360° / 540° / 720° with a resolution of 1° (standard) or <1° (user-defined). Accuracy is ±1° for 1 to 35 m/s, ±2° for 35 to 65 m/s, and ±4° for 65 to 85 m/s.
  • Virtual Temperature: Measuring range from -50 °C to +80 °C with a resolution of 0.1 K and accuracy of ±0.5 K.
Data Output:
  • Digital Interface: RS-485 / RS-422 with baud rates from 1200 to 921600 Baud. Data values include instant values, average values, and standard deviation.
  • Analog Output: Wind speed and direction outputs range from 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V, and 2 to 10 V with a resolution of 16 bit.
General Features:
  • Bus operation supports up to 98 sensors.
  • Electronic connection via an 8-pole connector.
  • Mounting on a 1.5” mast tube.
  • Housing made of stainless steel (V4A) AiSi316Ti with IP 67 protection.
  • Dimensions are 600 x 300 mm and weight is 3.4 kg.
Additional Information: The anemometer offers comprehensive statistical functions such as gliding averaging, standard deviation, and co-variance, selectable via the digital interface. It is ISO quality certified and all specifications are subject to change without prior notice.

Ultrasonic Anemometer 3D-1

Ultrasonic Anemometer 3D The Ultrasonic Anemometer 3D provides measurement of the wind direction and the wind velocity in all three dimensions. The maintenance-free and wearless anemometer needs no recalibration, and it is equipped with a heating for winter operation even under extreme conditions. All calculations are carried out by a high-capacity digitalsignal-processor (DSP) within the propagation time of the ultrasonic signals with an accuracy basis of 32 bit. The instrument offers comprehensive statistic functions such as gliding averaging, standard deviation, co-variance etc., which can be selected via the digital interface. The gliding averaging can be set optionally in vectorial or scalar form, identically or differently for each parameter. Real-time measurement More than 70 different measurement values available Maintenance free / heatable Digital / analogue outputs and inputs Wind speed Measuring range 0.1 m/s (standard) 0.01 m/s (user defined) Wind direction Measuring range 1° (standard) < 1° (user defined)
