Aviation Weather Decision Support System System description Gust Front Detection Algorithm This algorithm allows to detect gust fronts form Doppler weather radar data or LIDAR data. Inputs: • Reflectivity • Doppler velocity • Polarimetric data are not necessary, but if available, they increase the quality of results Output is image with gust front position and wind speed values accompanying the front, that is overlaid with airport map.
