Overview: The MULTIX product line is designed for high-performance non-destructive testing (NDT) with a fully parallel architecture, ideal for driving 2D probes and optimizing inspection speed. It is based on 8-channel boards.
Acquisition: The system supports hardware and software acquisition gates, synchronization of gates, and acquisition triggers based on events or user-specified triggers. It offers real-time imaging and user-specified configurations with a maximum data flow of 30 MB/s.
Phased-Array Capabilities: Features include customized focusing, electronic and sectorial scanning, full matrix capture (FMC), and smart flexible probes. Inspection modes include pulse-echo and transmit-receive, with dynamic aperture capabilities.
Pulsers: Adjustable voltage from 30 to 200V with a 1V step, and adjustable pulse width from 30 ns to 625 ns. The system supports a maximum pulse repetition frequency (PRF) of 30 KHz.
Receivers: Bandwidth ranges from 0.8 to 20 MHz with adjustable gain on each channel from 0 to 80 dB. It includes adjustable analog DAC and FIR filters, with cross-talk between channels greater than 50 dB.
Digitizer: The system supports digitizing and real-time summation on 32-channel boards with a maximum sampling frequency of 100 MHz. It has a digitizing depth of up to 50,000 samples.
Embedded Processors: Equipped with 2 PowerPC CPUs on the CPU board, supporting a parallel architecture of 32-, 64-, and 128-channel configurations.
NDT Simulation: Includes a CIVA subset in the Multi2000 software for complete inspection configuration and ultrasonic field computation.
Platform: Operates on a Windows-based PC with a USB2 link between hardware and PC.
Dimensions and Weight: The 32 and 64-channel configurations measure 342mm x 316mm x 177mm and weigh approximately 8.8 kg. The 128-channel configuration measures 449mm x 435mm x 177mm and weighs approximately 13.7 kg.
I/O Interfaces: Includes 2 Hypertronix connectors, 8 encoder inputs, 2 external triggers, 1 USB2, 16 analog inputs, and 4 LEMO connectors.
