Product OverviewThe Multi2000 Pocket is a highly portable system available in 16x64 configurations, designed for non-destructive testing (NDT) applications. A co-developed 8x32 version with Airbus Group is also available.
Acquisition FeaturesThe system supports acquisition triggers based on events such as thresholds and echoes, as well as user-specified triggers like time or coder. It offers a choice of data types including RF, peaks, and elementary A-Scan, with real-time imaging capabilities and user-specified configurations. Data is stored in a public file format with parameters in XML and data in binary, supporting a maximum data flow of 30 MB/s.
Phased-Array CapabilitiesThe Multi2000 Pocket includes custom focusing, electronic scanning, and sectorial scanning with DDF. It supports pulse-echo and transmit-receive inspection modes, fast multiplexing, and corrected images such as sectorial B-Scan and C-Scan.
Pulsers SpecificationsThe pulsers have an adjustable voltage range from 10 to 80V with 1V steps, and a negative rectangular pulse. The pulse width is adjustable from 30 ns to 625 ns with a step of 2.5 ns, and a rise time of less than 10 ns at 80V and 50 Ω. The maximum pulse repetition frequency (PRF) is 30 KHz.
Receivers SpecificationsThe receivers offer a bandwidth of 0.8 to 20MHz and adjustable gain on each channel from 0 to 80 dB. They feature an adjustable analog DAC on 50 dB, synchronized on events, with cross-talk between channels greater than 50 dB and a maximum input signal amplitude of 0.8 Vpp.
Digitizer SpecificationsThe digitizer supports a maximum sampling frequency of 100 MHz, adjustable down to 6.6 MHz, with a 10-bit range. It has an input impedance of 50 Ω, a global delay adjustable from 0 to 1.6 ms in 10 ns steps, and delay-laws at transmission/reception from 0 to 20 µs in 2.5 ns steps. The digitizing depth is up to 50,000 samples, with a maximum of 8,000 samples per elementary channel.
Embedded ProcessorsThe system includes an FPGA on the CPU-board.
Hardware ConfigurationThe Multi2000 Pocket features a multiplexed architecture with a 16x64 configuration.
NDT SimulationThe system integrates a CIVA subset into the Multi2000 software, providing a complete description of the inspection configuration, focal-laws, and associated ultrasonic field computation. It is compatible with CIVA, NDT kit, and ULTIS.
Platform and ConnectivityThe system operates on a Windows-based PC with a USB2 link between the hardware and PC, suitable for both desktop and laptop use.
Physical DimensionsThe dimensions are 212mm x 145mm x 70mm, and it weighs approximately 1.3kg including the battery.
I/O InterfacesThe system includes 1 Hypertronix connector, 3 encoder inputs, 1 external trigger, 1 USB2, and 2 LEMO connectors (type 00), along with an external power supply input.
