TEST EQUIPMENT KIT-1

TEST EQUIPMENT KIT Improve personnel safety and life of your 400 Hz cables with a preventative maintenance kit “A worn or loose contact on one or more of the pins in the connectors can cause high contact resistance which results in a hot plug; in some cases a fire or loss of a phase or control voltage (E&F) which causes the aircraft to reject the external 400 Hz power.” – Excerpt from SAE information report, “400 Hz Connection Aircraft Electrical Maintenance Procedures,” issue 1994-12. JB471 – AIRCRAFT CONNECTOR TESTER The JB471 Aircraft Connector Tester is a “Go/NoGo” device that is utilized to determine whether the aircraft’s 400 Hz pins are worn beyond accepted tolerance levels. Simply try to insert the Aircraft Connector Tester over the appropriate pin. If the gauge slides over the pin, a worn or loose contact is indicated, and the connector should be replaced to prevent possible damage. JB472 – PIN GAUGE TESTER The JB472 Pin Gauge Tester is a precision machined tool that provides for the proper testing of aircraft cable plugs to ensure positive, safe connection. The Pin Gauge Tester features an aluminum body, tooled steel pins, a pull strap and instruction placard. The JB472 meets Mil spec. for all cable heads. JB473 – TENSIONOMETER The JB473 Tensionometer provides an accurate digital readout for testing removal force. This Tensionometer comes with clasp to hook to the JB472 and is accurate to +- 3oz.
