Open the catalog to page 11 Description of sensors In 1993, the first sensors were tested in practice, and since then they have been continuously improved. Since 2004, the sensors 9xxxx (9KT01, 9KT02...) have been produced by iris-GmbH. The sensors 9xxxx contain a passive and an active component, an A/D transformer and a serial interface. The passive component consists of a pyroelectric detector with 6 individual detector elements. The detector is a receiver being sensitive in the infrared wave range from 9 to 12 µm. Every body emits thermal radiation corresponding to its temperature. The wave range from 9 to 12 µm...

On the left side, the detection range of the passive component of the sensor, and on the right side, the detection range of the active component of the sensor is shown in three views: 1. The upper views show the detection range of the sensor from the side. 2. The central views show the detection range of the sensor from outside (view on the door). 3. The lower views show the detection range of the sensor from above (view...

For connecting this sensor to the analyzer A21S-2 or A21S-2-GLORIA, no additional cable is required. => However, extension cables are not provided either. The photo shows on the left the cable of the sensor 9KT04 with Micro-D-Sub-connector on the right the analyzer A21S-2 with Micro-D-Sub-connector. The maximum cable length between analyzer A21S-2 or A21S-2-GLORIA and sensor (including the cable at the sensor) amounts to 15m. This sensor has been...
