Introduction
Mongoose is a fiber placement machine developed by Ingersoll, first released in 2009. It is designed to meet the complex manufacturing needs of the aerospace and naval sectors, but it is also applicable to other industries requiring cost-effective and reliable composite manufacturing.

Specifications
The Mongoose machine features a large working volume and compact deposition heads, making it ideal for laying up complex geometry parts. It offers various configurations, ranging from 4 to 32 tows with widths of 1/8”, ¼”, or ½”. These configurations can be combined and automatically exchanged to enhance quality and productivity.

Material Compatibility
Mongoose is capable of placing a wide range of carbon fiber materials, including thermoset, thermoplastic, dry fibers, and BMI, accommodating both common and challenging materials.

Control and Software
The machine is equipped with the Siemens 840D SL CNC, a standard control system in the manufacturing industry known for its ease of operation and maintenance. Programming, simulation, optimization, and diagnostics are managed through Ingersoll's proprietary software.

Customization
The size and configuration of the Mongoose can be tailored to meet specific process and end-user requirements.
