Product catalog summary

Overview

The Aurora Tip Clearance is a component of the Aurora Analysis system, designed for comprehensive analysis of dynamic data in both time and frequency domains. It processes raw dynamic data, specifically pulses related to blade passing events, to generate calibrated Tip Clearance files. These files can be viewed and analyzed using the Aurora RawViewer module.

Key Features

  • Interactive Viewing: Users can interactively view and interrogate data.
  • Worldwide Connectivity: Utilizes a thin client/server architecture for global access.
  • Multifunction Plot Types: Includes orbit plots and shaft centerline processing.
  • Data Processing: Converts raw data pulses from DNS (mV) to clearance (mm) using calibration curves.

Data Processing and Analysis

The Aurora Tip Clearance application allows users to submit processing requests to the Aurora Tip Clearance Server, which identifies and processes pulse heights. The server uses algorithms to reject false pulses and insert artificial pulses when necessary. It supports various pulse shapes and can be customized for different detection needs.

Data Visualization

Processed data can be viewed in the Aurora RawViewer module, allowing users to overlay Tip Clearance data on raw data in amplitude vs. time plots, view orbit plots, and analyze data variations under different operating conditions. The module also supports data export in CSV and binary formats, data interrogation, and flexible chart configurations.

Contact Information

HGL Dynamics offers international support with offices in the UK, USA, and France, providing contact details for each location.

Tip Clearance software for rotating machinery-1

Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World AURORA TIP CLEARANCE Interactive Analysis of Dynamic Data Interactive Viewing Worldwide connectivity Aurora Tip Clearance is part of the Aurora Analysis system, an integrated analysis platform that provides all the tools and capabilities required for summary and detailed analysis of both time and frequency domain data from a single application window. Multifunction plot types The Aurora Tip Clearance application is used for processing the raw dynamic data (containing pulses which relate to blade passing events) to generate calibrated Tip Clearance processed files, which can be viewed and interrogated in the Aurora RawViewer module. Orbit plot Raw time series data (containing discrete pulses) are processed to produce Tip Clearance results files. Calibration curves are used to convert from DNS (mv) into Clearance (mm). Other features include:  Shaft Centreline processing Interactive viewing and cursor interrogation  Worldwide connectivity—Thin Client/ Server Architecture Multi function plot types Orbit plot with Shaft Centreline processing Tip Clearance files provide access to ‘real’ probe channels as well as ‘collated-pseudo’ blade channels—the probe channels are searched for all instances of events from Blade X which are then collated to form a new channel. Tip Clearance software for rotating machinery-2

Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World The Aurora Tip Clearance application allows the user to submit tip clearance processing requests which are performed by the Aurora Tip Clearance Server. The Aurora Tip Clearance Server identifies each pulse in the raw data and extracts the height of the pulse. The pulse height in mV is then converted to clearance through the use of a calibration curve (also produced by the system). The processing by the Aurora Tip Clearance Server includes several algorithms and techniques for rejecting false pulses (that might be generated from noise spikes in the analogue front...
