Product catalog summary
Overview
The HGL Rotational ODS+OMA system is a comprehensive solution for determining modal values of rotating parts under operational conditions. It utilizes vibration transducers and a high-precision phase-related speed signal to measure natural frequencies, damping, and mode shapes. Signal transfer can be achieved via telemetry or slip rings, and the system supports both rotating and non-rotating measurement points.

Specifications
- Channels: 2 x 32 + synchronous
- Frequency Range: 0-20 kHz
- Resolution: 20 bit
- Input Range: ±10mV to ±10V in 1, 2, 5 steps
- Coupling: IEPE, AC/DC
- Data Transfer: Telemetry, slip rings, WLAN-DAQ
- Operating System: Windows 7

Applications
The system is applicable in various fields including brake disc assembly, wind turbines, diesel and gas engines, industrial fans, ship transmissions, and propellers. It is suitable for use in test benches, laboratories, balancing machines, and wind tunnels.

Software and Data Acquisition
The HGL Analyzer facilitates data acquisition, with measurements preferably conducted in "record mode" to maximize analysis quality. The system records signals from rotating and non-rotating transducers, as well as speed signals. The data is presented through animated wireframe models.

Wireframe Model Generation
The system automatically generates wireframe models of rotating shafts using cross-sectional definitions. These models can be exported in ASCII or UFF formats. Channel assignments for data acquisition and analysis are crucial for accurate measurements.

HGL Rotational ODS
The system allows for the extraction of time blocks for each transducer position, which can be transformed into the frequency domain using FFT. It supports various plots and analyses, including polar plots, amplitude ratios, and waterfall plots.

HGL Rotational OMA
The OMA module generates complete datasets for ARTeMIS Extractor, supporting algorithms like FDD, EFDD, and SSI for modal value estimation. It offers tools for validating modal data, such as stabilization plots and Modal Assurance Criteria (MAC). The system can evaluate the influence of operating parameters on modal values, particularly in non-linear systems.

Modal analysis software-1

Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World Overview The HGL Rotational ODS+OMA system is a Software & Hardware solution which determines the modal values (natural frequencies, damping and mode shapes) of rotating parts under operating conditions. In order to obtain these measurements, one or more vibration transducers that rotate with the shaft and a high precision phase related speed signal are required The transfer of the vibration signals can either be done by telemetry or slip rings. The identification of te modal values is processed by the Operational Modal Analysis Software (OMA) named ARTeMIS Extractor. Non rotating measurement points can also be considered in the identification of modal values. HGL also offers small data acquisition modules that can rotate with the shaft for large systems at low speed. Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World HGL Rotational OMA + ODS The HGL-Rotational OMA+ODS System is especially designed and developed to perform structural testing of rotating parts whilst in running mode. Next to the classic Operation Deflection Shape method (ODS) it‘s now possible to evaluate the modal values (natural frequencies, damping and mode shapes) by using Operational Modal Analysis algorithms (OMA). The vibration measurements are done by transducers which are mounted on the rotating shaft. As the rotational movement is measured by a tacho probe, the position of the rotating transducers...

Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World In a next step, the assignment between measurement channel of the DAQ and degree of freedom of the rotational model must be setup. For analysis it is necessary to know to which channel each measurement belongs, and to which point in the cross section and the according measurement direction. This must also be available for the reference channels and other channels of non rotating points. With HGL Rotational OMA, 6 reference channels can be used in total. For the analysis, it is furthermore necessary to define the channel with the tacho signal. This signal...

Dynamic Solutions For A Testing World HGL Rotational OMA The HGL-Rotational OMA Module can generate complete data sets for the operational modal analysis software ARTeMIS Extractor, again under the assumption that channel assignment is known. This data sets contains: • Wire frame model geometry by points, lines and surfaces, • The channel assignment for each measurement, • The vibration data as time series. This data sets can directly be transferred to the ARTeMIS Extractor. Using the Data Organizer in ARTeMIS Extractor, it is possible the check the transferred data at any time. For the estimation...
