Project Profile JetBlue Airways New York, NY End Use: Aircraft Hangar & Maintenance JetBlue Airways Hangar: 305'x214'x70' Shops & Offices: 35,000 Sq. Ft. nown as the JetBlue Technical Operations Campus, this 100,000 sq. ft. facility located at John F. Kennedy International Airport, provides space for offices, workshops and a state-of-the-art automated parts retrieval and storage system. The 300' clearspan building provides ample room for JetBlue to simultaneously hangar three Airbus A320 aircraft. The hangar door opening was designed to accommodate a 280' wide by 45' tall vertical lift fabric door, provided and installed by Megadoor®. Heavy Structures was responsible for the design, supply and installation of the primary and secondary steel, roof and wall systems. The buildings feature a painted metal roof system and 2-inch foam wall panels. The General Contractor for the project was Turner Construction Company, with Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum, Inc.
