Cockpit Features Overview
The cockpit is equipped with advanced 3D Synthetic Vision, including Highway in the Sky functionality, certified by the FAA to display 3D terrain, obstacles, and traffic on the Primary Flight Display (PFD). It facilitates an easy transition to 4th and 5th Generation tactical aircraft, reducing the cost and time required to integrate new tactical capabilities.
Display and Compatibility
The cockpit features full-color, sunlight-readable LCD displays with a brightness of 1,000 nits, compatible with Night Vision Goggles (NVG). It includes a redundant display/sensor architecture and is compliant with RNP 0.3/BRNAV/PRNAV standards.
Navigation and Management Systems
The system includes dual Flight Management Systems, integrated moving maps, and a Class-B Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS). It also features an Engine Indicating/Crew Alerting System (EICAS) and dual Air Data Attitude Heading Reference Systems.
Positioning and Weather Systems
The cockpit is equipped with dual Global Positioning System/Satellite-Based Augmentation System (GPS/SBAS) and integrated weather radar controls.
Display and Control Features
It boasts a High Definition (1920x1080P) Large Area Display and Hands on Throttle and Stick (HOTAS) controls, allowing full flight control from either cockpit. It meets JSF Anthropometric Cases 1-8.
