Aura Ai-2PERIMETER INTRUSION DETECTION > NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY The Aura Ai-2 is the next generation controller from FFT, and offers superior detection of fence climbing, cutting or lifting. With a maximum sensor length of 60km (37 miles) the Aura Ai-2 controller can detect, locate and report disturbances to within ± 1 to 4m (3.3 to 13ft) of the event. Industry Leading Intrusion Detection The Aura Ai-2 controller pulses laser light down optical fibers connected to each of its two detection channels. Sensing fibers are housed inside sensor cables attached to the perimeter fence. Fence disturbances cause sensor cable movement and changes in reflected laser light. The Aura Ai-2 controller automatically analyzes the reflected light to detect, locate and report disturbances. Aura Ai-2 uses the latest advanced optical signal processing algorithms, combined with artificial intelligence, to discriminate between intrusions, nuisance alarms and other causes of fence disturbance. Aura Ai-2's decision making software intelligently analyzes fiber optic laser measurements and automatically adjusts controller settings to optimize sensitivity for reduced nuisance alarms and increased probability of detection. Sensor Cable Even when a sensor fiber is cut or damaged, Aura Ai-2 continues to detect perimeter intrusions occurring between the controller and the cut. When sensor fibers are connected to two channels of the controller (or two controllers) in a redundant loop configuration, intrusions can be detected to within 10m (33ft) either side of the cut.
