The MKII Mobile Adjustable Additive Injection System is designed to inject aviation fuel additives at ratios between 50 and 300 PPM during aircraft refueling. It operates using fuel flow through a positive displacement meter, which powers the additive pump. A fail-safe mechanism halts fuel flow if additive flow stops.

The system is mounted on a four-wheel trailer with a towing frame and parking brake. Additive containers are stored in a bunded area with a drain valve. The trailer is made of stainless steel and can be towed at speeds up to 12 mph.
The control system is housed in a stainless steel box. Components in contact with additives are made from stainless steel, viton, or PTFE. The system allows easy priming and routine calibration.
A positive displacement diaphragm pump with adjustable stroke length is used. Injection ratios are adjusted via a micrometer.
An Avery Hardoll BM950 meter drives the metering pump, featuring self-sealing aviation couplings.
A pneumatically operated valve closes fuel flow if no additive flow is detected, requiring compressed air or Nitrogen.
