Introduction
This document outlines the specifications and features of the 757 Refuelling Steps with an extra step, designed by Flightline Support Ltd. The equipment is intended for use in aviation refuelling operations, providing a stable and safe platform for operators.

Chassis Construction
The chassis is constructed from aluminum and stainless steel, ensuring robustness and lightweight for easy maneuverability by a single operator. Stability is enhanced with front-mounted out-riggers, which are removable and replaceable.

Platform Specifications
The platform has a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 200 kg and features high-grip decking for safety. It includes a spring-close safety gate, a 1100mm safety rail, knee-rail, and kick plate. An opening in the handrail allows for hose and coupling checks.

A Frame
Made from stainless steel, the 'A' frame provides strength and corrosion resistance. It includes a universal joint for maneuverability and a heavy-duty spring-loaded ball coupling to absorb impact shocks.

Hydraulics
The platform is elevated using a double-action hand pump with a burst protection valve to prevent sudden drops. An access ladder is included for safe exit when elevated.

Pipework and Couplings
The system includes an Avery Hardoll FCMY 107M5L coupling and stainless steel pipework. Refuelling hoses are Elaflex to EN1361 standards, with pressure certificates provided. The system is pressure tested to 225 psi.

Bonding
A stainless steel bonding reel with a 15m PVC coated copper braid cable is included for safety.

Axles and Wheels
The unit features four heavy-duty wheels with sealed bearings for easy maneuverability. Stub axles are removable for maintenance.

Safety Features
The hydraulic system includes a burst protection valve to control descent. An automatic locking system secures the gate when elevated, with a manual override available.

Operation and Markings
The unit is approved for towing up to 20kph and operation in wind speeds up to 70kph. Reflectors are fitted for night-time operation. Labels provide information on towing speed, load, tyre pressure, and safety.
