he Raptor SQ2802 is a 2K ×2K primary control monitor featuring EIZO's new eBlue LED backlight technology. With eBlue, the monitor offers outstanding image quality, low total cost of ownership, and minimal eco footprint. • 2048 × 2048 native resolution • 350 cd/m2 brightness • Backlight lifetime of over 100,000 hours • Low power consumption EIZO eBlue LED Backlight Technology Multiple Input Connectors The Raptor SQ2802 employs EIZO's eBlue LED technology which consumes just 120 watts at the monitor's maximum brightness of 350 cd/m 2 and 60 watts at a typical brightness of 70 cd/m 2 used in many ATC control centers. This significantly decreases both heat production and electricity costs. Additionally, it increases the backlight lifetime to at least 100,000 hours which is more than 11 years of continuous operation. Also, eBlue LED backlight technology delivers improved brightness uniformity and reduced color shift across the 28-inch screen for better visual characteristics. Two DVI-I (digital dual link) connectors are included as standard. Single or dual BNC × 5 analog connectors are available as an option to allow the monitor to serve as a drop-in replacement for the Sony DDM CRT. Backlight Stabilizer and Backwards Compatible Backlight Trays An integrated automatic backlight stabilizer allows for setting the backlight brightness to ensure that it remains constant. When the backlight trays inevitably need replacing due to aging, they can be easily swapped out on site, saving considerable expense and downtime. Furthermore, the eBlue LED backlight trays are backwards compatible with CCFL backlight trays meaning they can also be implemented in EIZO’s previous 2K × 2K monitor, the Raptor SQ2801. Customization Options To meet the requirements of different installations, the Raptor SQ2802 comes in desktop, VESA-mount, panel-mount, and chassis versions. It is also available without a fan and with a second power supply. 1000:1 Contrast Ratio This high contrast ratio makes it easier to distinguish easily between similarly colored figures in large spreads of data, which helps reduce the possibility of error. It also ensures dark tones are more distinct, therefore making the monitor suited to dim environments such as control centers. Detailed Screen Adjustments An abundance of on-screen display functions simplify adjusting the screen as well as provide extensive color control. A quick-access OSD menu allows for adjusting frequently used functions like brightness and contrast. Multiple Resolution Support and Image Scaling The Raptor SQ2802 supports resolutions from 640 × 480 up to its native resolution of 2048 × 2048. Any non-native resolution can be displayed in its actual size, scaled proportionately, or expanded to fill the screen. This is helpful when receiving other nonnative resolutions as is typically necessary for setup. It also means a smaller auxiliary monitor is not necessary to view boot data or failure data.
