TCAS II provides your helicopter pilots with aircraft detection and automated resolution advisories. Aural and visual alerts advise the pilot on what action to take - decreasing the need to acquire visual confirmation of the traffic threat and to consult with air traffic control before taking action. This reduces workload while enabling a faster response to impending traffic conflicts. It improves operational safety and mission effectiveness - especially at night or in poor weather conditions. Already certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the TTR-4100 offers weight and capability advantages over previous systems. It’s the ideal solution for size-, weight- and power-constrained airframes. When combined with dual Rockwell Collins TDR-94 Mode S transponders, the TTR-4100 provides your helicopter operators with a complete traffic awareness and threat avoidance system. It is certified as optional equipment on many medium and heavy commercial helicopters, including the Airbus Helicopters H225 and H175, the AgustaWestland AW189 and AW169, and the Sikorsky S-92.
