The CI 285 is a UHF blade antenna designed for high-performance aircraft, offering a low profile, low drag, and lightweight solution. It features a molded body with a metal mounting base for stable performance in challenging environments. The antenna provides vertically polarized, omni-directional patterns with wide band and high-efficiency electrical performance. It includes DC grounding for lightning protection and a 6-hole mounting system.
- Electrical: Frequency range of 400-960 MHz, VSWR of 2.0:1, vertical polarization, typical 1/4 wave stub radiation pattern, 50 Ohms impedance, and 100 Watts max average RF power.
- Mechanical: Weighs 0.75 lbs, height of 5.20 inches, made from Lexan material with a polyurethane enamel finish, and features an N (female) connector.
- Environmental: Operates in temperatures from -55 to 85°C and altitudes up to 55,000 ft.
FAA TSO is not applicable. Complies with RTCA DO-160C environmental standards.
