The core of the sandwich panels is made from aluminium honeycomb (Alloy series 3000) with hexagonal cells. Available diameters are Ø1/4”, Ø3/8”, Ø1/2”, and Ø3/4”. The thickness of the foil ranges from 50 to 70 microns.
The skins are made of aluminium with thicknesses of 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, and 1 mm as standard. The skins can be made from aluminium alloy series 1000, 3000, and 5000.
Standard panel sizes are 1250 x 2500 mm, 1250 x 3000 mm, and 1500 x 3000 mm, with custom sizes available up to 2000 x 7000 mm. Thickness tolerance is ±0.3 mm, and dimension tolerance is ±30 mm.
Panel thicknesses range from 6 mm to 25 mm, with skin thicknesses of 0.5 mm + 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm + 1.0 mm. The panels have a compressive stabilized strength of 2.9 MPa and a maximum load capacity ranging from 190 N to 1,700 N. The elastic modulus of the skins is between 68,000 and 70,000 MPa.
The maximum service temperature is between -40°C and +60°C, with options available for higher temperatures up to +150°C. The thermal expansion coefficient is 2.3 x 10-5 °C-1.
The COMPOCEL AL FR panels are certified for low flame spread and smoke emissions according to various standards, including IMO MED FTP Code 2010, UNI EN 13501-1, and ASTM E-84. These certifications apply to different applications such as shipyards, building interiors, ventilated facades, and railway sectors.
