Overview: This document provides technical specifications and installation guidelines for
lighting masts manufactured by Exel Composites Plc. It covers two main types of masts: Poles and Lattice Masts, detailing their features, installation methods, and compliance with international standards.
Poles Specifications:- Max Light Height: Ranges from 1.6 m (5.25 ft) to 5.5 m (18 ft), depending on the model, subject to wind conditions.
- Height Adjustment: Adjustable by +/-200mm to +/-250mm (approximately +/-10 inches) on-site.
- Light Adapter Size: Standard Ø60 mm (Ø2.5 inches), with other sizes available.
- Cable Way: Runs inside the pole.
- Mounting Systems: Fixed or hinged base plate on a concrete base; frangible coupling is not needed.
- Finish: Aviation yellow with UV protection, other colors available upon request.
- Material: Glass fibre composite with anodised aluminium sleeves.
- Net Weight: Varies by model, from 5.3 kg (12 lbs) to 18.1 kg (40 lbs).
Lattice Masts Specifications:- Max Light Height: Ranges from 6.5 m (21.5 ft) to 35 m (115 ft), subject to the number of lights and wind conditions.
- Height Adjustment: Adjustable by +/-250mm (approximately +/-10 inches) on-site.
- Light Adapter Size: Standard Ø60 mm (Ø2.5 inches), with other sizes available.
- Cable Way: Separate cable duct included.
- Ground Mounting Systems: Tiltable base plate on concrete base or steel post, with various personnel requirements for tilting.
- Finish: Aviation yellow with UV protection, other colors available upon request.
- Material: Glass fibre composite with maritime stainless steel installation hardware.
- Net Weight: Varies by model, from 53 kg (117 lbs) to 113 kg (250 lbs) for the mast, and up to 893 kg (1969 lbs) for the steel post.
