Technical Description
The SkyVUE™PRO uses LIDAR technology to transmit laser pulses into the atmosphere, detecting back-scattered returns from clouds and aerosols. Its single lens design improves optical signal-to-noise ratio, enhancing accuracy and performance. The device provides cloud height, sky condition, vertical visibility, and raw backscatter profiles up to 10 km. An automated Mixing Layer Height (MLH) option is available for air quality applications, using an algorithm to detect boundary layer tops. The device can be tilted up to 24° to resist reflections and improve rain run-off, with an internal inclinometer for automatic cloud height correction.
