Safety Interlock PIL-CB02 e.g. for the material transport from unsecured to secured area This unit is for moving material from an unsecured to a secured area while ensuring there is no unauthorized access by any person. The interlock is closed and locked in the basic position. Access is authorised by means of a card reader and/or biometric recognition. The first door opens and the material can be transported inside. After positioning the material the transporting person steps out of the interlock through the first door. During the entire process, it is checked whether there is indeed only material and not a person inside. This is done by a special sensor system which recognises whether there is a person inside the interlock. The sensors can detect even hidden persons, e.g. if someone is hiding in a box. If the presence of a person is detected, the entrance door opens again and after acknowledgement the process can be restarted.
