VMS-BIS - 1

Engineered Solutions | Bosch VMS-BIS Connectivity BOSCHInvented for life U Automatic or manual display of live images or recordings on Bosch VMS Operator Client in response to alarms or alarm acknowledgements. U Manual control of live images or recordings directly from BIS location or device overviews. U Ability to receive and process Bosch VMS alarms (motion detection, camera failure, ...) within BIS. U Control of video recording from within BIS. BIS can be coupled with Bosch VMS, enabling you to capitalize on the advantages of both: the flexibility of BIS in connecting multiple subsystems - Fire, Intrusion, Public Address, Access Control systems etc., and the powerful video control environment of Bosch Video Management System. A BIS customer achieves video management functionalities and can for example integrate HD cameras managed by Bosch VMS. Example 1: After a Bosch VMS IVA alarm triggered by an idle object, the evacuation of the affected area is started together with BIS loudspeaker announcements and corresponding door blocks and unblocks. In the BIS event log this alarm is logged. Example 2: After a BIS intrusion alarm the corresponding Bosch VMS live video of an HD 1080p camera is displayed under Miscellaneous Documents. Simultaneously the stream is recorded including metadata for Forensic Search. A Bosch VMS customer achieves PSIM functionality like Intrusion, Fire etc. additionally to his video management solution. Example 3: A Bosch VMS operator can press an input button when observing the live image of a camera. This input is connected to this camera. The input triggers some actions in BIS, for example a loudspeaker announcement or door blocks / unblocks for evacuation purposes in the area of the camera. With the trigger additional parameters like location and required workflow can be forwarded to BIS. The operator does not see anything of the BIS system, he only works in his usual Bosch VMS environment. System overview The coupled system consists of a BIS login server, a Bosch VMS Management Server and at least one operator workstation. The integration is twofold: Firstly BIS uses Bosch VMS OPC server to receive information from the video system and to transmit commands. Secondly the BIS client process communicates with the Bosch VMS Operator Client process on the operator workstation. In this way, BIS can display live images or recordings directly with Bosch VMS Operator Client.
