Fast Highly Automated Performance The Bertsche P5 MILL is a fully automated 5 Axis Profile Beam Machining Center with integral “Smart Fixturing™"system. Designed for fast, highly automated performance in "one off" demand-driven manufacturing environments including those commonly found in aerospace machining. The P5 MILL provides a large work envelope, very high rapid feedrates with near zero setup time. Maximize Productivity in the Smallest Footprint With full 5 Axis capability, the P5 MILL can be configured as a single table or dual table single spindle machine for 100% spindle utilization. The P5 DUAL was developed to maximize productivity in the smallest footprint by incorporating 2 independent workzones which allows for 200% increase in productivity using the same floor space as a single machine. Flexibility and Ergonomic Design Manufacture thick walled metal extrusions, composite profiles, from plate and bar material using Bertsche's smart fixturing system or a t-slot table. Each workzone is equipped with an automatic part loading door that when open provides full access to the work holding x axis table. The machine is completely enclosed for optimum dust, coolant and chip containment.
