The METRO-W1 hanging bin features a self-supporting design with curved fronts and flat side panels made of stainless steel, providing stability through an internal galvanized steel construction. The funnel-shaped opening at the top guides waste into the inner liner and serves as a fire protection element. The slanted top prevents misuse as a storage area.

The galvanized inner liner is sealed with a patented system that creates a self-extinguishing effect by interrupting the oxygen supply in case of fire. The construction minimizes temperature increase around the casing during a fire. A snap lock secures the receptacle against unauthorized access.

The waste bag can be quickly and easily removed from above. The top opens with a 1/4 turn lock and swings backward manually, allowing for easy replacement of the waste bag.
