ALKAN, part of the Rafaut group, has been contracted to supply pylons and sonobuoy launchers for an export combat helicopter program. SECA is contributing by providing components of the Store Management System, which includes interface boxes qualified for flight. These boxes are crucial for receiving firing orders from the helicopter's systems and ensuring launcher security. The system tests are nearing completion, with the first qualified system expected by the end of 2021, and integration into helicopters planned for 2022.
The testing involves two interface boxes for pylons and sonobuoy launchers, two sonobuoy simulators with 36 inputs, and six Electro-Mechanical Release Unit (EMRU) simulators for torpedo firing. Additional equipment includes a laptop with a graphical user interface, power supplies, and harnesses. The sonobuoy and pylon interface boxes, along with the simulators, are integral to the testing process.

HELICOPTER AVIONICS TESTING SECA STORE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM UNDER TESTS Sonobuoy simulators EMRU simulators OVERVIEW: Program story ALKAN (Rafaut group) has been awarded the supply of pylons and sonobuoy launchers for an export combat helicopter program. In this context, SECA supplies a part of the Store Management System (see picture). The two interface boxes are qualified for flight, and the sonobuoys and EMRU are simulated with tailored equipment made by SECA. The Interface boxes are responsible for receiving firing orders from the helicopter calculator, and for launchers security. System tests are being finalized, first qualified system planned end of 2021 for helicopter integration in 2022.
