S P ECS Solar Series LED HAPI PLASI The Solar Series LED HAPI-PLASI designed specifically for off-grid helipads is the most efficient solution capable of operating on solar power. The system complies as a visual approach aid for use in flight conditions providing the pilot with a stabilized glide path signal by means of a single light source from a position adjacent to the intended touchdown point and can be used for both Fixed Wing or Helicopter operations. The HAPI-PLASI system has an effective visual range of 3 nm during the day and up to 5 nm at night. A pilot who is flying the approach on glidepath will see a steady white light. Stray above the glidepath, he will see a pulsing green light. Alternatively, stray below glide path, he will first see a steady red light, turning into a flashing red light the lower he goes. The Solar Series LED HAPI-PLASI system is self-contained without the need for electrical infrastructure or power costs, easy to install, low maintenance and eliminates the requirement for electrical infrastructure or power costs. If the system is required for on-demand use, it is easily activated by the Radio Frequency Controller, which allows a single hand held controller to operate every light on the helipad.
