Product catalog summary
Introduction to Fringe Projection Technique
The fringe projection technique is a well-established method for three-dimensional surface acquisition, used in both industrial and non-industrial applications. This contact-free optical scanning technology captures complex surface structures swiftly and accurately. AICON's StereoScan series is noted for its mechanical and thermal stability, making it suitable for various applications, including inspection and reverse engineering.

Advancements in StereoScan neo
The StereoScan neo represents an evolution of the classic StereoScan system, addressing previous limitations related to surface properties affecting measurement quality. The digital adaptive full color projection technique allows for optimal adjustment to surface properties through color and intensity control.

SWYM Technology
AICON introduces the "See What You Measure" (SWYM) technology, enabling visualization of measurement results directly on the object. This technology allows for immediate visualization of deviations from CAD models, facilitating quick corrections in industries like tooling, molding, and model making.

StereoScan neo-1

StereoScan neo The new benchmark in fringe projection The principle of “See What You Measure” The fringe projection technique for the purpose of threedimensional surface acquisition is a well established procedure both in industrial and non-industrial applications. Using this contact-free optical scanning technology, even complex surface structures are captured swiftly and at a high level of accuracy. Owing to its exceptional mechanical and thermal stability, AICON’s high-end StereoScan series can be employed in a multifaceted array of applications. Given their extremely sturdy design, the two-camera systems are renowned for extraordinary ruggedness and precision. Thanks to the exceptional stability of the CFRP double structure, the highest requirements in inspection and reverse engineering are met both in the measuring room as well as under production conditions. “See What You Measure“ – AICON consistently continues its innovation strategy and enters into a new dimension of fringe projection. Using the SWYM technology, it is now possible for the first time to visualize the results of a measurement directly on the object. The adaptive full color projection technique enables projection not only of the color patterns which are necessary for the scanning process onto the object, but also of the generated measurement results. This, for instance, allows for the deviations from the CAD to be visualized in color immediately following the measurement on the surface of the scanned object. The StereoScan neo is the result of consistent further development of the classic high-end StereoScan system series. Previously, the performance capability of the fringe projection was highly dependent on the surface properties of the scanning object. The color and reflection properties of the object surface had a significant effect on the quality of the measurement results. This is where the digital adaptive full color projection technique of the StereoScan neo provides the necessary rectification by using color and intensity control to optimally adjust to the given surface properties. This procedure provides the user with totally new possibilities during the workflow. In the tooling and molding industry or in the context of model making, deviations of the component surface can be measured and visualized quickly and precisely by using the SWYM technology. Based on the projected deviation images, corrections on the object can be made promptly and on site. In a similar way, deviations in the context of inspection tasks can be made visible immediately and the necessary rectification measures can be taken ri
